Saudi Arabia and Yemen — Houthis Claim New Attacks as Coalition Reports Destruction of Missile Facilities
Yemen’s Houthi movement said on 26 October that it had attacked Saudi Arabia’s East-West crude oil pumping stations and King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, although Saudi authorities had not immediately confirmed the reported strikes. The Saudi-led coalition said it had intercepted a ballistic missile directed towards Riyadh and destroyed two launchers in Sanaa, including the launcher it said had fired the missile. Coalition spokesperson Major General Turki al-Maliki also reported an operation inside Yemen that destroyed five tunnels used to store ballistic missiles, four missile launchers and another missile storage facility.
Gaza and West Bank — UN Commission Reports Continuing Violations Following Ceasefire
The United Nations Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, and Israel published a report on 26 October concluding that Israeli authorities had continued committing genocidal acts in Gaza following the October 2025 ceasefire. Examining violations against Palestinian children through September 2026, the commission reported continued Israeli use of heavy munitions, drones, artillery and sniper fire in densely populated areas, while also documenting deteriorating conditions and displacement in the occupied West Bank. Israel’s mission in Geneva rejected the findings, calling the report part of a “misinformation campaign to demonize the State of Israel”.

Romania — Intelligence Service Identifies Alleged Russian-Coordinated Sabotage Network
Romania’s Intelligence Service announced on 26 October that it had identified a network allegedly coordinated by Russia and believed to be responsible for a September fire at an industrial facility in central Romania near a state-owned weapons manufacturer. Romanian organised crime prosecutors said they were seeking the extradition of two Belarusian suspects detained in Germany and one Ukrainian detained in Poland, all suspected of involvement in the arson case. The Intelligence Service said the network had been assigned targets including weapons production facilities and other military and industrial sites, while Moscow has repeatedly denied accusations of conducting sabotage operations against European countries.
